Seymour
Seymour is a picturesque town at the base of the Great Divide's Tallarook Ranges. The township, established in the mid 1850s, is encircled by Victoria's largest river, the majestic Goulburn River. All major services converge at or near Seymour. The Hume and Goulburn Valley Highways cross at the junction of the main Melbourne Sydney rail line. The town has grown and prospered as a regional centre to service transport, armed services, tourists, wine industry and farming communities. Accommodation of all levels is available, parks and gardens are plentiful, sporting activities and service clubs of most types are long established. |
