Mackay is a lush tropical region that has an abundance of significant natural attractions of National Parks, gorges, the Great Barrier Reef, tropical islands and unspoilt beaches.
The hinterland area features a range of heritage and cultural activities including gold fossicking. The region’s relaxed and welcoming people are also seen as an asset.
Mackay is located between Brisbane and Cairns. The Mackay region extends from Cape Palmerston National Park and Sarina, northward to Midge Point, west beyond Eungella National Park and east to Credlin Reef. |
