South West Rocks
South West Rocks has eight beautiful beaches, numerous river tributaries and the Arakoon State Conservation Area. Trial Bay Gaol is a must-see. First occupied in the late 1800s, it was closed in 1904 but was re-opened to house German internees during WWI. The gaol is built from locally quarried pink granite. Stuarts Point, Grassy Head and Scotts Head lie to the north of South West Rocks and are all favourites with fishermen and other water lovers. |
